Angus - Jo&Fraser
“Before working with Kai, my husband and I struggled to find structure in the way we were training our young dog Angus. Angus is full of excitement and was struggling to engage in what we were asking of him. After a few sessions working on lead pulling, settling and introducing him to new items such as a dog coat, he ( and Fraser and I) have come on heaps! We have structure to our training walks and now have a way of introducing new things in a calm way. We really appreciated the way that Kai gave us the encouragement and confidence we needed to help Angus. He is at a stage where everything is so exciting and it is difficult to focus. Kai has taught us to be patient and we are seeing the work paying off.
I would definitely recommend getting in touch with Kai for any training support or how to better understand your dog. “
Bailey - Lauren&Micheal
“We couldn’t recommend Kai more highly as both a trainer and walker. She has truly transformed our dog Bailey’s confidence, especially around other dogs, where she can be quite reactive. Even after just a few sessions, we noticed a huge difference not only in Bailey, but in ourselves as dog parents. Kai takes the time to deeply understand your dog’s specific needs and behaviours. Her approach is completely bespoke - she doesn’t apply a one-size-fits-all method but instead tailors her training based on the individual dog and their triggers. She’s incredibly generous with her knowledge, always explaining how to handle situations clearly and thoughtfully, and she follows up with actionable plans to keep progress going. Whether it’s through regular sessions or just a quick message for advice, she’s always there to support us and Bailey. She’s made such a difference in our lives, and while we want to shout from the rooftops about how amazing she is, we’re almost hesitant to share… because once everyone finds out, we worry she’ll get too busy for us!”
Trudi - Euan&Alison
“We were having some issues with our puppy when we sought help from Kai. It was immediately obvious that Kai has a special affinity with dogs and straight away Trudi was engaged and responsive. She also brought very tasty treats! Trudi learned quickly from Kai’s techniques and approach. Kai’s work is as much about the owner's approach as it is about the behaviours of the dog. We had some homework to do! We learned to support Trudi to improve her behaviour around the house and garden. It was also helpful that we went with Kai to a local green space for “live” training sessions around loose lead walking, using a training lead and recall. All of this amidst the exciting stimuli of birds and other dogs! We picked up lots of nuggets of information about what to expect from our particular breed of dog - a cocker spaniel- in regard to her behaviours including her prey drive and activity levels. Kai followed up each session with really helpful learning points in writing as a reminder to us about what we needed to focus on in between sessions. This was invaluable given we had so much to learn. We really benefited from our sessions with Kai. We would absolutely recommend her as a skilled, experienced, knowledgeable dog trainer, who clearly absolutely loves dogs. “
